Apple Brownies

Cream together in a large mixing bowl:

1 c. butter

1/2 tsp salt

2 c. sugar

Add and beat in:

2 eggs

Combine in a small bowl with a whisk:

2 c. flour

1 tsp. each of baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon

Add to butter mixture and mix well.

Peel and slice thin:

2 c. granny smith apples (if you have a crank apple peeler..it peels/slices your apples for you, then just cut the apple in quarters and add to the big bowl)

Add apples to the bowl and mix well.

Stir in :

1/2 c. of chopped pecans or walnuts

Batter will be quite thick! Spread it evenly into a well greased 13×9′ pan. (I use parchment for easier clean-up).

Bake at 325F for 35-40 mins. Top will be golden brown when brownies are ready.

Serve warm with ice cream.
