I’ve been looking for this recipe for a long time…it’s from the back of the Old Mill Oats tin and it never fails. Thank you Google for helping me locate it…..hope it tastes as great for you!
Beat in a large mixing bowl until fluffy:
3/4 c. softened butter
1c. lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp of water
2 tsp vanilla
Combine in a small bowl:
2/3c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
Add this to the creamed mixture and mix on low till combined.
Add to large bowl:
3 c. oatmeal( I use 1 c. old fashioned and 2 c. quick oats)
Stir in:
1 1/2c. raisins (I use 1/2 c. raisins, 1c. chocolate chips:-)
Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto parchment paper lined baking sheets.
Bake @350F for about 12 minutes or until lightly golden.
For crispy cookies, flatten slightly before baking.
Make large cookies, flatten and then use for ice cream sandwiches!
